“Pardon our mess while we are remodeling to serve you better” is the message the 1905 Basin Park Hotel wants to get out to the citizens of and visitors to Eureka Springs during the next few weeks. A major renovation is now underway in a property that has become known as “the people’s hotel”.
“Elise (Roenigk) and I are very excited about what we are doing at our downtown property,” stated hotel Executive Vice President and General Manager Jack V. Moyer. “Not only are we doing an update in nine of our guest rooms but we are also adding a nuance that guests and especially locals are going to fall in love with.”
The nuance is the transition of the Lucky 7 Rooftop Billiards into Jack Rabbett’s Whisky Bar. This new bar will be located in what is now the Ozark Room, next door to the Balcony Restaurant, and will include the professional-style pool tables now featured upstairs in Lucky 7, moved downstairs to the new location. Other planned accoutrements for Jack Rabbett’s will be 3 big screen television sets, living room style seating, in addition to normal around-the-bar stools.
“We have had such success with the Basin Park Hotel since the Roenigks purchased it in 1997, this is our gift back to the loyal guests who return year after year to enjoy our hotel and the entire surrounding downtown Eureka Springs shopping, entertainment and FUN district,” added Moyer.
The renovation project for rooms and bar is scheduled to be completed by late February. Moyer noted that he hotel and the Balcony Restaurant will be open for business during the construction period.
We appreciate the patience of both our guests and our fellow businesses as we re-invest in Downtown Eureka Springs.
