History

The 1905 Basin Park Hotel is the only full service hotel in Downtown Eureka Springs. Its unique because it’s a historic limestone landmark built into the hillside of downtown Eureka Springs, giving it multiple ground-level entrances across its eight floors. Once considered “fireproof,” it was among the most modern hotels of its era, with running water, telephones, and electric lighting. Its rich history includes events like the Barefoot Ball, tales of gangsters and Prohibition, and ongoing paranormal lore, all preserved alongside its vintage architecture and central location overlooking Basin Spring Park and downtown.
