Ozark Mountain Music Festival 2020

Hello Music lovers! My favorite month is here! In three short weeks we will be dancing to the foot stomping tunes of our new and old favorite bluegrass, America roots music. January 16th-19th will be another Oz Production for the books!

The Ozark Mountain Music Festival Weekend will kick off with local’s night on Thursday, January 16th with regional favorites Brian Martin and Arkansauce– “a genre-hopping, four piece string band from northwest Arkansas, bending the rules and blurring the lines between bluegrass, newgrass, folk, americana, country, blues, and funk.” Local’s night cost just $10! Since Arkansauce rocked the main stage in 2017 they continue to become more energetic and fun with the best sing along songs!

At 6PM on Friday the doors will open again to host Brad Fielder from Tulsa, OK. New to our stage we are excited to hear the traditional folk music of songsters from the 20th century with a mix of Brad’s originals. Local favorites, Red Oak Ruse is up next on the main stage and we cannot wait to dance to their made genre Ozarkana! To keep Friday night rolling we will be bringing in our headliners Wood & Wire! As their newest album was Grammy nominated for “best in bluegrass” we know we are in for a treat!

After Wood and Wire comes to a close the diehard dancers and music lovers head to our sister stage at Chelsea’s Corner bar where they will host an open jam with (hopefully) all bands included like years past. Get some rest because we are not even to Saturday yet…

Saturday is packed full with even more music than Thursday and Friday combined. Skye Pollard (Folk Festival Singer Songwriter winner), Chucky Waggs, The Damn Neighbors, The Haymakers, The Hillbenders AND Dirtfoot, all in ONE day! We will start the day on the intimate stage on the first floor with the first 3 bands. Been to OzMoMu in the past? Just wait until you see what we have up our sleeves to make this an even better experience for bands and attendees! At 6PM we will make our way to the Main stage to hang out with our vendors, live artist, grab more drinks and continue dancing the night away.

Coming in from Witchita, KS we are thrilled to add the folk, country, bluegrass band to the lineup- The Hillbenders! This 5 piece band packed full of string instruments and beautiful vocals is a must see.

“The HillBenders have firmly established their presence as one of the most energetic and engaging progressive acoustic bands on the scene and they continue to wow audiences from stages around the country and around the world.”

So much could be said about Dirtfoot in their “10 yearlong span of spreading infectious grooves and their unique Gypsy Punk Country Grumble Boogie sound. The crowds come to take part in the fun and chaos, hollering to all the calls and responses, shaking their beancans, and getting down with the infectious grooves.”

Our sister stage at Chelsea’s corner bar will jamming on Saturday night again as they host the second round of the open jam including but not limited to all the bands on the line up! Some of the most incredible music I have seen has happened at this event, on this stage!

We will round out the weekend with Brick Fields Sunday at noon on our intimate stage. The Basin Park Hotel will be offering a huge Bloody Mary Bar and Brick Fields will be soothing us all with their blues vibes.

Have we sold you on the weekend yet?! Just in case, it is worth mentioning that this festival has historically been a winter weekend to help cure the festival blues in the cold months. Not only do you get to hang closing with your new friends but you also get to chill with the bands for there is no back stage area. Tickets are $55 all access or single day passes are available too. Want a room on site…yes you do!
